Who we are
We are the Dartmouth Park Neighbourhood Forum (DPNF), set up under the Localism Act 2011 to draw up a Neighbourhood Plan for the Dartmouth Park area. We highly value your interest in and contribution to our work. If you have attended a DPNF event, filled out a contact sheet, asked to receive news letters or submitted comments through our website, we may hold certain types of information about you. This Privacy Policy gives you information about when, why and how we collect and use your data and how we keep it secure. You can also change the information we hold, such as your preference for how we contact you.
What information we collect
The information we collect may include your prefix (Mr, Mrs, Ms, Dr, etc), name, email address, street address and, in limited cases, photographs.
In addition, if you follow us on Facebook, Twitter, or other social media, then you may be allowing us access to information from your accounts on those services. To manage what information might be accessible to us you can adjust your settings and privacy policies on each platform.
How we use your information
We collect the information described above to help us keep you up to date with the development of the Neighbourhood Plan and the activities of the DPNF. We use the information to:
communicate with you about the activities of the DPNF
seek engagement about the Neighbourhood Plan or participation in the activities of the Neighbourhood Forum
Advise you about meetings and other events
Advise you about the development of the Neighbourhood Plan, its content, its status and steps in the adoption process
Provide information about or invite engagement about particular developments in the Dartmouth Park Neighbourhood Area or surrounding areas
After adoption of the Neighbourhood Plan, advise or consult about activities or events relevant to the Neighbourhood Plan or its implementation or developments within the Neighbourhood Area or surrounding areas.
Third parties
We may share your data with organisations that provide services to us. In particular, we share your data with MailChimp, which manages our email contact list. The organisations that provide these services to us meet high data security standards and will not use your data for anything other than the clear purpose of the service they are providing. As MailChimp operates from the United States, your data may be transferred to, stored, or processed in the United States; MailChimp participates in and has certified its compliance with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework for safe transfers of data to and from the United States.
Other than as set out above, we will not share your information with third parties without your consent.
We are not responsible for the privacy protocols of other websites, even if you access them via links from our website or communications. We strongly suggest that you check the policy of each website you visit.
Storing and protecting your information
We are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. We take reasonable and appropriate measures to ensure your information is protected from unauthorised access and improper use.
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, you acknowledge that there are security and privacy limitations of the Internet which are beyond our control.
We will keep your information only for as long as is reasonable, viewed in the context of the ongoing process to develop the Neighbourhood Plan and achieve its adoption.

You can change the information we hold and your preferences about how, when and whether we contact you, including asking to be taken off our mailing list.
